觸摸屏到目前為止是最方便，簡單，自然的不但適用于各大多媒體信息查詢的輸入設備，它用有非常快的反應速度以及堅固耐用，節省空間等優點。觸摸屏的技術通常會被認為是未來人機科技的主流方向之一，相關的產業以及產品應用也缺乏一個熱點。不過傳統的觸摸屏因為成本都相對的比較高所以不適用于工業控制設備當中。
